It is the first injectable treatment specifically designed to restore adipose (fat) tissue, clinically proven to help reposition superficial fat to its natural state. What is Profhilo® Structura?
Profhilo® Structura AKA ‘the lipo lift’ is a groundbreaking injectable treatment designed to lift, contour, and rejuvenate the facial profile by targeting superficial fat layers. By regenerating and repositioning these fat layers, Profhilo® Structura counteracts the natural flattening of facial angles and tissue descent that occurs over time. The result is a more lifted, naturally contoured profile without obvious projections or the appearance of artificial enhancements.
Profhilo Structura is specifically indicated to regenerate subcutaneous fat & is the first product that has this specific indication.
How does profhilo structura work?
Profhilo structura works by a process called bioremodelling. Bioremodelling is a process that reverses tissue laxity by increasing the activity & production of skin cells (keratinocytes), fibroblasts, elastin, collagen, adipocytes (fat cells) & muscle cells (myocytes).
What is Profhilo® Structura made from?
Profhilo® Structura is made from stablised hyaluronic acid (HA). It contains 90mg hyaluronic acid (HA), compared to 64mg in Profhilo® and 20-25mg in dermal fillers. The stabilisation thermal process removes the need for the chemical cross-linkers that are commonly required in hyaluronic acid dermal fillers creating a more natural product with no risk of swelling and volumisation.
Which areas can be treated with Structura?
Profhilo® Structura can be used to treat subcutaneous fat loss in the face only. Its primary purpose is to address facial sinking and sagging. Its targets the cheekbone and jawline area of the face for maximum lifting potential. There is only one injection point per side of the face and the product is placed along the cheekbone and jawline area.
Why is the Sub-cutaneous fat important?
Sub-cutaneous fat (layer beneath the skin) provides support and volume to the skin, helping to maintain a naturally lifted appearance. The sub-cutaneous fat pockets on the midface are held in compartments, and with gravity & age, these drop causing hollows in the cheeks and allow jowl formation, contributing to ageing looks. Children & young adults have lots of superficial fat and as we age we lose it.
Superficial fat also provides natural cushioning for wrinkles and as the fat reduces during the aging process, lines and wrinkles are left exposed.
Am I suitable for Profhilo® Structura?
If you are starting to see ‘sinking’ or ‘sagging’ skin as you age, this means that there’s a treatment option for you. Sinking can be described as a “predominant hollow or sunken appearance”. Sagging can be described as “predominant appearance of tissue droop” e.g. when you start to see the formation of jowls.

What’s the difference between Profhilo® and Profhilo Structura?
Profhilo and Profhilo® Structura each have unique properties and benefits.
Profhilo® is injected into the dermis (skin), regenerating the structure of the dermis e.g.collagen and elastin, without adding volume. Therefore this enhances skin firmness, texture, and hydration.
In contrast, Profhilo® Structura is injected 1 layer below the skin into the subcutaneous fat layer for deeper structural remodeling. It is in this sub-cutaneous fat layer that the restructuring takes place to lift the tissues.
Both treatments offer unique benefits tailored to different skin concerns and treatment areas. They can be used separately or together to ensure a full approach to skin rejuvenation and anti-aging.
How does Profhilo® Structura differ from dermal fillers?

How will the treatment be given?
Profhilo® Structura is given via a small cannula inserted in front of the ear. It is very quick (10 mins) and it is also a relatively painless procedure. A cannula is used to ensure correct placement into the fat compartment. This technique is beneficial as it reduces side effects such as bruising. You will be able to resume your normal activities immediately after treatment.
What results can you expect from Profhilo® Structura?

How long does Profhilo® Structura results last?
Treatments initially involve 2 sessions, 1 month apart, followed by maintenance appointments every 6 months. Results should last around 6 months if maintenance sessions are carried out.
